This workshop will take you through a process from identifying and articulating what a 21st century classroom looks and feels like to the development of your final product - a framework for a 21st century, Project-Based curriculum unit designed for your classroom, school, or district. Media Literacy
There’s no doubt that we and our students are living in a media-saturated, globalized society. Media literacy is a critical skill; students must not only be able to successfully navigate the forest of signs and symbols in our world, but must know how to use media tools to create messages. Students' lives are filled with engaging the media outside the classroom, from television, film and music, billboards, t-shirts and bumper stickers, to cell phones, web sites and Web 2.0 social media.

Service Learning
We believe that service learning is the ultimate curriculum for the 21st century. It not only includes all the standards, it goes beyond by connecting students to the world, their community, and most of all provides students with the realization that even though they are young, they do have a voice, they can make it heard and they can make a difference.
